Voda Paints Limited as a company and as individuals strives to:

    • Minimise waste by evaluating how we work and ensuring that we are as efficient as possible.
    • Minimise toxic emissions through the most appropriate use of public transport and company vehicles and the sourcing of our energy requirements.
    • Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst our clients and suppliers.
    • Use telephone and internet technologies effectively to actively manage our client and supplier relationships and to minimise unnecessary travel.
    • Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.
    • Use an accredited program to offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our activities.

Environment Related Policies

A. The Coatings Care Program

Coatings Care is a comprehensive program developed by Voda Paints Limited to assist in integrating health, safety and environmental activities with corporate planning and operations.

Coatings Care Policy Statement

Voda Paints Limited will implement Coatings Care to further our ongoing efforts to protect worker and community health and safety, as well as the environment, by establishing a program that will:

  • Promote efforts to protect employees, customers, the public and the environment;
  • Provide relevant information on the safe use and disposal of industry products to customers, and make such information available to the public on request;
  • Make protection of health, safety and the environment an early and integral part of the organizational planning process;
  • Comply with all legal requirements which affect operations and products;
  • Be responsive to community concerns; and
  • Assist governments in the development of equitable and attainable standards.

Coatings Care contains four codes of management practice that address specific issues related to industry and member concerns:

  • Transportation and Distribution
  • Manufacturing Management
  • Product Stewardship
  • Community Responsibility

Voda Paints Limited has committed to implementing these codes of practice and to adopt the Coatings Care Policy Statement to improve our management of these important areas of our business.

B. Eco Friendly Policy

Voda Paints Limited is committed to reducing or eliminating any harmful impact on the environment from our products. To fulfil this commitment Voda Paints Limited has developed one of the industry’s largest selections of water-based and low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) paints and coatings.

To fulfil this commitment Voda Paints has initiated several programs:

  • Water and solvent liquid wastes are re-utilized
  • Corrugated cardboard and office paper are recycled
  • Empty steel drums and wooden pallets are recycled;
  • Solid wastes are re-utilized wherever technically feasible;
